Cheetah Wireless Technologies Bets on Broadband Wireless Network to Provide High-Speed Internet Access
Visitors to the Las Vegas Strip, famous for its bright lights and big bets, can now take advantage of an exciting new amenity - wireless broadband Internet access at several of Las Vegas’ most prominent resorts. Cheetah Wireless Technologies (CWTI) and BelAir Networks announced that the companies have launched a broadband mesh network delivering high speed Wi-Fi access along the Las Vegas Strip, including inside and outside of the country’s largest hotels and casinos.
With this deployment, an estimated 40 million visitors and business travelers per year can now take advantage of Cheetah Wireless’s high speed Internet service. To cover the massive hotels, resorts and casinos located in Las Vegas, some reaching over 30 floors, CWTI uses BelAir Networks industry-leading outdoor-in broadband wireless network solution. Upon completion the wireless network will cover almost the entire Strip.

Las Vegas is one of the country’s most popular travel destinations and hosts key technology events including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January and Interop, taking place in May at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Las Vegas is also hosting the upcoming Vegas Grand Prix, a three-day festival taking place April 6th - 8th, featuring concerts and a celebrity poker tournament in addition to the world famous race. CWTI is the exclusive Wi-Fi provider for the event.
